Last month vanity microtransactions were introduced to the Xbox 360 version of Call of Duty: Black Ops II and it's now been announced that they'll be added to the PC and PS3 versions of the game from April 12.
All of the cosmetically purchasable additions made to the Xbox 360 version will be available, including nine themed Personalisation Packs that each contain three calling cards, three new reticules and a weapon skin. They cost 160 Microsoft Points a piece in their current form, but official pricings for the PC and PS3 versions haven't been revealed.
As previously detailed, ten extra Create-a-Class slots will also be available (currently costing 160 MS Points), along with Flags of the World Calling Card Packs (costing 80 MS Points). Rounding out the new items on offer is the Nuketown 2025 multiplayer Zombies map (for the equivalent of 400 MS Points) while the normal Nuketown 2025 map, which was previously available only to those who pre-ordered the game, will be free to all come April.
There was a fair few rumblings when the additions were announced for the Xbox 360 version but, since being introduced, it's been pretty clear they're optional additions and that don't affect gameplay in any way. What do you reckon? Are you bothered that microtransactions are coming to the PC and PS3 versions of Black Ops II, or are you concerned this is the start of a trend?
