Mathew McConaughey Eyed for Christopher Nolan's Interstellar

What do you get when you pair the star of Magic Mike with the director of The Dark Knight?

Deadline reports that Matthew McConaughey has been offered the lead role in Interstellar, director Christopher Nolan's sci-fi film and next project: "The character’s name is Cooper and while there is no deal yet, who says no to Nolan?"

Interstellar, a co-production between Paramount and Warner Bros., is slated for a November 7, 2014 release in theaters and IMAX.

The screenplay, written by Chris' brother Jonathan Nolan, reportedly follows a group of explorers travel through a wormhole. The story is said to involve time travel and alternative dimensions, and is reportedly based on scientific theories by theoretical physicist and gravitational physicist Kip Thorne.
