The official title for the highly anticipated Alan Partridge movie has been revealed as Alpha Papa, which beat out stiff competition from the likes of "Chap of Steel" and "Colossal Velocity".
In a teaser trailer released today, the title for the film was announced along with the fact that it'll be hitting screens later this year on August 7.
Since first being announced in 2004, the project's experienced a fairly turbulent production process. For a long time, both Steve Coogan and Armando Iannucci seemed to be feeling very hot and cold towards the idea before committing to revisiting Norwich's biggest star in 2010.
Happily, early reports about the movie focusing on Alan trying to break America were confirmed to be false; the entire thing will instead take place in Norfolk and the surrounding areas we've all become so familiar with.
