HTC's newest incarnation of its flagship One phone has been beleaguered by shipping problems and won't hit the U.K until two weeks after its projected date — March 29th, according to British online phone retailer Clove. The Verge adds that although shipping dates for the smartphone have been relatively fuzzy, HTC had hoped for a U.K rollout on March 15th and a global release before the end of the month.
Interestingly, the HTC One is already available in Germany, as O2 continues to ship the smartphone despite delays in other markets. Other European countries are included in this delay and may not see the phone until April, and the U.S. has yet to have a confirmed rollout plan from the smartphone maker.
An HTC spokesperson confirmed the delay in a brief statement to IGN:
"We will start fulfilling pre-orders by end March in certain markets and will roll out to more markets as we approach April."
