Inspired By The Walking Dead: Kids Learn Zombie Survival Skills

We all know that the zombie Apocalypse is nigh. It's not a matter of if, it's a matter of when and where. Well, the city of Cedar Rapids, Iowa isn't messing around with the future of the earth's (living) population. In a real show of foresight, the Parks and Recreation Department has put together a zombie survival training camp, KCRG reports.

We like to think that Leslie Knope spearheaded this endeavor.

The two-week survival camp is set to take place at the Ushers Ferry Historic Village through the end of March. Children 8-12 are invited to join in and participate in a humans vs zombies "water gun war" test on the final day. We assume that the adult population of Cedar Rapids is invited to go ahead and bite it come the rise of the undead.

A special thanks to The Walking Dead producer Gale Anne Hurd for bringing this to our attention via a tweet from earlier today.
