Minecraft Getting Retail Release on Xbox 360

Hugely popular digital download title Minecraft is now getting a disc version for the Xbox 360.

Announced on PlayXBLA, the retail version is billed as an opportunity for gamers “who are not currently connected to Xbox Live.” It will contain the same features and content included in the current digital version, as well as the upcoming additions from the ninth update.

The disc will also include support for multiplayer gaming between the retail and digital versions. Like the version on Xbox Live Arcade, it’ll receive the same ongoing updates.

The retail version hits US stores on April 30th, and will cost $19.99. It’ll also be coming to Australia, Hong Kong, India, New Zealand, Singapore, and Taiwan in early June.
