While Sony's latest flagship smartphone, the Xperia Z, has already been announced, the company still has a couple of new devices in the Xperia line to release this year. As reported by Mashable, Sony has announced the new Xperia SP and Xperia L smartphones, due for release this spring.
Smaller than the Xperia Z -- but larger than the Xperia L -- the Xperia SP features a 4.6-inch 720p HD Reality Display, running on the Mobile Bravia Engine 2. Inside, you'll find a 1.7GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor. The rear-facing 8MP camera is capable of capturing 1080P video.
The Xperia L features a 4.3-inch screen at 854 x 480 pixels. But despite its diminutive size, the Xperia L still includes an 8MP rear camera, albeit video capture is reduced to 720p. The device runs on a 1GHz processor. Both the Xperia L and Xperia SP will be available in white, black, or red finish.
Unfortunately, Sony has not yet announced pricing for either device. The company recently announced the Xperia Z tablet for $499.
