Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has announced that it is opening a new studio in San Francisco. WB Games San Francisco will be focusing primarily on “free-to-play, mobile, social, and browser-based games.”
“The Bay Area is the home of social and mobile gaming and WB Games San Francisco is Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment’s opportunity to expand our game development capabilities into the epicenter of the digital world,” said the newly announced studio head Greg Ballard.
The team will not only be working on their own original games, but will oversee publishing of mobile games developed by other studios under the Warner Bros. umbrella.
