ESRB Rates ‘Best of PlayStation Network’

If a new ESRB rating is to be believed, a fresh PlayStation 3 compilation is incoming called Best of PlayStation Network Volume 1.

According to the ESRB information, the compilation contains four games – Fat Princess, Tokyo Jungle, Sound Shapes and When Vikings Attack – though there’s no word on how much the collection may cost or when it will be available. The overall rating is T for Teen.

Assuming this collection is real (the ESRB’s job is to post real game ratings, though we’ve reached out to Sony for official comment), do these four games really represent some of PlayStation Network’s best games? Well, yes and no. We here at IGN gave Fat Princess a 9.0, Tokyo Jungle an 8.0, Sound Shapes a 9.0 and When Vikings Attack a 6.5. That makes for an average IGN score of 8.125, or “Great” on IGN’s scale.
