Are you ready for the next Nexus 7? Reuters reported today that Google's low-price tablet line will get a refresher in July, just a year after Google debuted the line to consumers.
Sources say that Google plans on selling at least eight million next-gen tablets, which will run on Qualcomm Inc's Snapdragon processor, to keep up with other low-priced tablets — namely the Kindle Fire HD and the iPad Mini.
Aside from the new processor (the current Nexus 7 has an Nvidia chip), there are scant details about the new tablet: a higher resolution screen and a smaller bezel are the only things mentioned in the Reuters piece. In addition, there's no word on the price, although sources speculate it could have a $199 price tag.
Neither Google nor its tablet partner Austek would comment on the speculation.
What do you think of the possibility of a new Nexus 7? Let us know in the comments.
