IGN Talks To:

Wade Barret vs. The Miz

The (now) hour long pre-show, involved a backstage skit featuring the Miz and Jersey's own Snooki, a lot of 'Mania hype, a weird Tout segment featuring Judah Friedlander from 30 Rockand then a match for the Intercontinental Championship.

The Miz won a quick, fast paced match to capture the Intercontinental Championship by getting Wade Barrett to tap to the Figure Four.  And then, it started to rain.  Not saying those two events are connected, just observing.  The match was fine for what it was, a pre-PPV bout.  Barrett hit Miz with a Bossman Slam and Wasteland, but it wasn't enough. For the record, Miz's Figure Four looks fine.

Let's hope the rain stops soon.

The winner and new Intercontinental Champion - The Miz!

Sheamus, Randy Orton and Big Show vs. The Shield

Sheamus and Orton worked over Reigns and Rollins for a bit before Big Show finally tagged himself in. Ambrose attempted a chest chop on Show before receiving six chops in a row for his trouble. Amazingly, Show was the first person The Shield took to their corner to work over.

Soon there was a hot tag and Orton and Sheamus came in to clean house. The tide turned once again and The Shield came out on top (thanks to a suicide dive bomb by Rollins). A Triple Bomb attempt on Sheamus was thwarted by a double spear from Big Show.

Then Orton stole a tag that was meant for Big Show. RKO on Rollins. But Reigns with a spear on Orton and...Big Show doesn't help. It's over. See. Egos. As it turns out, after all the rhetoric, they couldn't work together!

After the bell, Big Show knocked out Sheamus and Orton. No heel turn for Orton. Clean win for The Shield. The blame has to lie on the "good guys" here since Sheamus and Orton never included Show in the tags like they should have.

The Winners - The Shield!

Ryback vs. Mark Henry

Typical big man match, with Mark Henry dominating most of it. Henry sent Ryback to over the top rope a few times with clotheslines, and then slowed things down (i.e. got romantical) with bear hugs. Things picked up right at the end when a Meathook lead to a Shell Shock attempt. Ryback got Henry up and Henry, naturally, looked terrified.

But Henry grabbed the ropes and wound up falling down flat on Ryback, pancaking him on the mat. Henry pinned for the win!

After the bell though, Ryback fought back with a spinebuster and then an actual legit Shell Shock on Henry to give us our "WrestleMania Moment."

Winner - Mark Henry!

Team Hell No vs. Dolph Ziggler and Big E. Langston

Not quite as satisfying as I would have hope with all the moving parts. This match was a mighty quick, straight up tag match.

The start of it was the best part when they went for the ultimate fake out; teasing us with Ziggler kissing AJ and Bryan catching him with a kick for an almost 18 second win! But Ziggler kicked out. He'd eventually take the pin after a chokeslam and a flying headbutt.

Big E. was rather impressive in his debut, but it was strange to see him spotlighted after the Ryback/Henry match. With Ziggler eating the pin here, does this mean he'll cash in later tonight to balance out the loss? I hope so.

Winners - Team Hell No!

Chris Jericho vs. Fandango

In what felt like the longest match of the night so far, Jericho led newcomer Fandango through a decent, semi-stiff match which saw Jericho mostly dominate. Fandango didn't get in a ton of offense, but he did nail Jericho with his version of the Alabama Jam. But Jericho kicked out.

Surpisingly, Jericho vs. Fandango also gave us out first taste of blood tonight, as Jericho got busted open (a little bit) over his eye right at the beginning. Later on, Fandango went for another Bama Jam, but Jericho rolled out of the way. Jericho went for a Lionsault, Dango put his knees up, Jericho caught them for the Walls of Jericho. But Fandango rolled up up for the pin and win.

Winner - Fandango!

Alberto Del Rio vs. Jack Swagger
